CORPORATE INFORMATION

GymSports New Zealand is the National Sporting Organsiation (NSO) responsible for the sports of Aerobics, Womens Artistic Gymnastics, Mens Artistic Gymnastics, Rhythmic Gymnastics and Trampolining. All sports are World and Olympic sports.

Our roots are as deep as the Olympic movement itself.  Our founders, Coubertin dreamed about Games and competitions, Cuperus dreamed of health and active movement ideals.  Together they founded Gymnastics; the vision has changed little over the years.

Gymsports New Zealand is not just about competitive GymSports, it is about providing the core skills for all sports movement.  This side of our sport is to receive increasing focus within our vision for GymSports New Zealand, thus contributing to the nation’s goal of becoming the most active nation.

We are already working successfully in our more advanced GymSport clubs with sports such as Winter Sports, Rugby, and Athletics.  This service will be extended further to other sports by tailoring specific movement skills, mobility and flexibility to suit individual needs of those sports.
